AES CBC

AES CBC, or Advanced Encryption Standard Cipher Block Chaining mode, is a widely used symmetric encryption mode known for its robust security features. In CBC mode, plaintext data is divided into fixed-size blocks, typically 128 bits (16 bytes) each, and each block is XORed with the ciphertext of the previous block before encryption. This chaining mechanism ensures that even identical plaintext blocks result in different ciphertext blocks, enhancing security. Additionally, CBC mode provides resistance against various attacks and is commonly used for securing sensitive information, such as in VPNs, disk encryption, and secure communication protocols.
